In Malta, the company registration process is relatively straight forward as a centralised registry, the Registry of Companies, was set up for all company registration. The formal requirements for company registration include the filing of a memorandum and articles of association subscribed to by the company’s shareholders, which must be signed by the shareholders and submitted in original for and evidence of deposit of the initial issued share capital of the company.
Finco’s services include the drafting of the memorandum and articles of association, provision of local registered office facilities, a requirement for all Maltese companies, assistance in the opening of a bank account for the deposit of initial share capital and filing of necessary documentation at the Registry of Companies on clients’ behalf.
Finco can also assist clients in the establishment of partnerships and other legal persons such as foundations. We also have relationships with firms in a number of other jurisdictions and can introduce clients to such persons where companies in more than one jurisdiction are required.
