Paul Bonello

Paul Bonello ACIB, FCCA, CPA is an Associate of the London Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Association of UK Certified Accountants. He holds a warrant as a certified public accountant. Paul started his career in Banking joining Barclays Bank International in 1974. After 10 years in banking, he worked for a time as Financial Controller of a group of companies with varied interests. Since 1988, he has been involved on a full-time basis in personal and corporate financial and investment consultancy. He is Managing Director of the Finco Trust Group of Companies. He has acted as Director of Mid-Med Bank for 6 years from 1992 to 1997 and acted as Chairman of various sub-Committees of the said bank, including a Computer Project Steering Committee, the Risk Management Committee and the Audit Committee. He was Director of HSBC (Overseas) Bank Ltd. He formed part of a three-man Advisory Committee established to advise the Government of Malta on the transition from the offshore to the onshore financial services regime. He is currently a Director of Air Malta Plc, Chairman of its Audit Committee and a Member of the Purchasing / Contracts Committees of Air Malta plc. He is also a Director of Marsh Management Malta Ltd.
